Community service or volunteerism enables our students to acquire life skills and knowledge, as well as provide service to
those who need it most. Our school is engaged in a series of ventures that involve the active participation of students
thereby inculcating in them a sense of ethos and humane concern. In our endeavour to make students responsible citizens

Khadi can unite us, as nothing else can.
Khadi holds a significant role in India's History as it has been associated with the country's struggle for independence and is considered a symbol of self-reliance and sustainability. Mahatma Gandhi appealed to the nation to wear and encourage Khadi as a means of strengthening rural India. As a part of ‘V Care Activity’ collage making activity of Khadi Products was conducted on 17/10/23 in class 3-5. Children brought pictures of Khadi products & pasted the same on an A4 size sheet.
This activity familiarised children with diverse array of Khadi products and their multifaceted benefits encompassing economic growth, environmental sustainability & women's empowerment.

Mahatma Gandhi or more lovingly known as Bapu by all Indians is internationally acknowledged for his doctrine of non-violence that led to India to its glorious freedom. 2nd October is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti. The story of his life has impacted humanity to its core. To revere this day, the junior and senior students of Vishal Bharti Public school, Paschim Vihar presented a ramp walk on 6thOctober'23.The event was a platform to popularize khadi as a trend among citizens and promote the swadeshi fabric to strengthen the economy . Students showcased the timeless beauty of Khadi fabric through a dazzling ramp walk.
The event was a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity as students gracefully displayed their khadi attire with style and panache. From elegant sarees to dapper suits, the collection exhibited a wide range of khadi clothing options suitable for various occasions.
The students were imbued with Gandhian values and thoughts and vowed to preserve this traditional craft.
Cleanliness Drive at Vishal Bharti Public School

A Cleanliness Drive was organized on 26 September,2022 at Vishal Bharti Public School for the students of classes 3rd to 12th as a part of the V- care initiative.It is a step towards a healthy physical learning environment.The main purpose of this programme was to create awareness among the students regarding cleanliness and its benefits. All the students were informed to bring a duster from home for cleaning purpose. With great zeal, the enthusiastic students steered the cleanup drive.Students cleaned their desks and benches themselves during the drive. Some students also cleaned the windows and doors of their classrooms. This drive motivated the students to keep their surroundings clean. Students actively participated in the event and inspired other students to do the same. This activity is organised every year in our school to keep sync with the dictum that ' Cleanliness is next to Godliness.'
Making of a Bird House

Taking this thought forward, the students of classes VI – VIII of Vishal Bharti Public School participated in a ‘Bird House’ making activity. The activity was organised on 24th August 2023, as a part of V–Care Initiative undertaken by the school. The objective of the drive was to promote environmental awareness and encourage creativity in children. Beautiful bird houses were created by them using eco-friendly waste material.
The enthusiasm and creativity exhibited by the students showcased their commitment to a greener future. Through their creativity and enthusiasm, the young learners have not only woven nests but also woven stronger connections with the world around them.
Mask Making Activity

The Tiger is a symbol of Beauty, Strength and Nationality, So Save the Tiger and Save our Nation’s pride
A mask making activity was organized for classes III to V on 18 July to raise awareness for tiger conservation among children. To promote this cause, the students of classes III to V participated enthusiastically in the activity. The children enjoyed the colouring and pasting activity on a cut out of a tiger’s face. They also crafted a tiger mask.
The significance of the connection between wildlife and people at large was explained to the children in a discussion.
The objective of this activity was to raise awareness and sensitivity about saving the national animal. It also exercised their Kinesthetic and Interpersonal skills.
Slogan Writing

As part of the V-Care initiative, a slogan writing activity on Saving Tigers was conducted at Vishal Bharti Public School on 18th July 2023 for classes from 6th to 8th. The main objective was to promote environmental consciousness and foster empathy toward the conservation of tigers. Students actively participated in the activity and created slogans that highlighted the urgency of protecting these endangered species. The participants displayed immense creativity and talent while generating the slogans. Some of the slogans created during the activity include:
"Roar for Tigers, Protect Their Stripes!" "Save Tigers, Secure Our Ecosystem." "Join the Fight, Tigers Have the Right!
The best slogans were selected and acknowledged, reinforcing the importance of tiger conservation within the V-Care program.
Mother’s Day

‘Mothers represents colourless love that knows no barter’
Of all the bonds we share during our lifetime, the most special one is the one that we have with our mothers! A mother selflessly fulfils all our desires and cares for us till her last breath. “Mother’s Day”, a day especially dedicated to cherish motherhood was celebrated with great elation at Vishal Bharti Public School on May 12, 2023. Students of grade III and IV, passionately got involved in making beautiful handmade greeting cards for their mothers from scratch using basic stationery. The students poured their own words and creativity to express their feelings about their mothers.
Teachers made an earnest effort to instill the importance of mother in a child’s life. It was a pleasure watching the dynamic and energetic children preparing something unique, something special. The outcome of their efforts was marvellous. Each card was special and different in its own way
Street Play on Earth Day A Step in the Path of change

As a part of the V- Care initiative and to celebrate the significance of Earth Day, students of Vishal Bharti Public School from Classes 8 - 12 performed a Street Play on Earth Day on 27 April 2023.The play was staged in the nearby market place with the objective to sensitise the people on the harmful effects of pollution on mother earth. It was an eye opener for everyone. The play brought fore different scenarios where joint efforts like- avoiding plastic bags, water conservation and car pool could significantly reverse the environment catastrophe that's unfolding every day. The play enlightened the people to make little modifications in their lifestyle and thinking to prevent such harm. In the end students took a pledge to reduce pollution and the efforts of students were appreciated by one and all.
Grocery Bag Making Project

Taking this thought forward, students of classes III-XII participated in the V-care initiative of Vishal Bharti Public School on 13April,2023.The objective of the drive was to indulge students in the making of the paper bags by using newspapers and it also sensitise them about the threat caused by the use of plastic bags to the environment. The students were taught how to make paper bags with newspapers . The children were very enthusiastic about the whole activity. They showcased their creativity by writing slogans on the theme of ‘Save Earth Save Environment’ on grocery bags .Various messages promoting awareness on how to save earth were written by the students on the grocery bags .This initiative taken up by the school is sure to make an individual more conscious and sensitive towards mother earth.These bags were then distributed at the nearby local grocery stores to be given to the customers.The activity was a great opportunity to witness the creativity and artistic skills of the students.

Earth Month – the celebration of bounties of our mother earth in different ways is celebrated each year with great zeal and enthusiasm in our school by conducting various activities at different levels . An activity ‘Plantation of a Sapling ‘ was conducted by the students of classes III – V on 12th April 2023 in the school premises wherein a group of students from the class planted saplings in the school garden with the help of their teacher and school gardener .Teachers guided the students regarding the importance of planting trees, some significant steps in gardening and process of a plant’s growth.
The activity ended with the principal ma’am coming forward to plant the saplings with the students and imparting wisdom to the students regarding the importance of planting trees and encouraging students to plant more and more trees not just at school level but also in their surroundings outside school. The activity was a great learning experience as the students were enlightened about various scientific laws of nature and the significance of planting trees.
DIY Project: V- Care Initiative

VBPS has always believed in adopting unique and innovative ways to address national or international issues. The environmental pollution caused by plastic usage and the subsequent ban on single use plastic has been the most significant step taken by the government.
Keeping in mind the importance of the above issue, VBPS held an activity under it’s “V-Care Initiative: Eco-friendly Initiatives” where students of class IX, reused plastic bottles to create planters from them. Students also presented their ideas on stage.
This activity was a great opportunity for them to showcase their creativity, express themselves on stage and learn more about environmental issues. Under the guidance of our Principal, Ms. Rachna Jain, the pledge to take up several such initiatives was also taken.
Designing Rakhis for Soldiers

Raksha Bandhan' or 'Rakhi' is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. To commemorate this festival, an activity “ Designing Rakhis for Soldiers” was organized for the students of grade III to V. Students made beautiful Rakhis using different articles like silken thread, ribbon, etc. Their artisanship was quite fascinating and children thoroughly enjoyed this activity that tickled their creative side. The purpose of this activity was to arouse respect and admiration in the hearts of students for all the brave soldiers standing on the borders fearlessly to protect us.
Poster Making Activity (Save Water)

‘Do the earth a favour, be a water saver’.
With the motto to sensitize students towards the crucial issue of water conservation, a Poster Making Activity on the theme 'Save Water' was organized for the students of Class II on 20.11.19 as a part of V- Care Project. Students prepared attractive posters with appropriate slogans.
Ways of water conservation were simultaneously discussed with the students.They not only displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters but also became more aware of a major global issue.They also pledged to be a water saver'.
Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.
