Thu, 24th Aug 2023 – Higher Education



A comprehensive and interactive workshop was conducted for the Class XII Commerce and Humanities students, on 24th August, Friday. The theme of the workshop was - Navigating Admission into Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) after class 12. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Nakul Shairwal, an authority in the realm of higher education.

Mr. Shairwal laid down a road map for the students in order to get into IIM after the 12th and also helped them to develop a strategy for the same. Admission procedure, required cut offs and the various institutions that provide the integrated 5-year IIM IPM Course were discussed. Mr Nakul highlighted the need for students to plan their preparations early and be at it with necessary regularity in order to achieve the goal.

Meticulous planning and early groundwork were identified as the key measures to reach the goal. The students were helped to outlined a timeline for rigorous preparation, consistent practice, and the use of diverse learning resources, to surmount the challenges posed by this examination

Fri, 12th May 2023 – Disaster Management



A workshop on DISASTER AND EMERGENCY RISK MANAGEMENT was organised for students of Vishal Bharti Public School by the District Disaster Management Authority (West) on 12th May 2023 in the school Hall. A lecture-cum-demonstration on disaster management to focus on capacity building and community awareness programme was organised by the search and rescue team comprising of Mr. Sarabjeet Singh, PTI Trainer Delhi Civil Defence, Ms Devender Kaur, Assistant Commissioner of Central Ambulance, West District and Mr Nishant Bodhwani, Project Co-ordinator DDMA West.

The training session on strengthening national disaster response was organised to help the students understand the steps to be adopted to respond to various disaster situations. In the event, it was told that planning, coordination and a high state of preparedness were the necessary steps to handle the crisis successfully. The professional volunteers provided the students with proper training and education. The relevance of small precautions that can save the lives of millions in times of sudden disasters was highlighted. To create awareness among the students about first aid and the ways to respond swiftly in times of such emergency, a demonstration was carried out. The volunteers educated the children on how to lift patients who would have multi-fractured limbs during a disaster, how to give the PCR, how to put the bandage and how to stop the oozing of the blood.

Ms. Devender Kaur advised the students to take this training seriously so that they can carry this skill throughout their lifetime. They were appealed to use their acquired skills at the time of emergency. She also spoke about man-made disasters like road accidents, human bombs, fire accidents, etc., and natural disasters like cyclones, landslides, floods etc. which are also increasing day by day due to global environmental changes. She boosted the morale of the children and advised the students to keep these activities, going along with academics in the future too.

The aim of the session was to disseminate the information and to impart knowledge regarding disaster preparedness and mitigation of its effects.

Overall, the workshop was very interesting

Sat, 23rd Jul 2022 – Teacher’s Workshop on CUET and NEP


Vishal Bharti Public School Paschim Vihar organized a workshop for students on the very contemporary topic of CUET and various changes at DU .

The workshop was organized by Pratham and dealt with the topic in detail explaining many aspects of the changes introduced in DU entrance exam .

During the workshop the various aspects of CUET were discussed and its link with NEP explained .Queries from various students were taken up by the resource person  and addressed in a satisfactory manner.

The various changes brought about by the DU are going to impact  the lives of a large number of students who will  appear for class xi and xii , hence understanding the process of admission is very important for all of them .

To provide an upgrade of  knowledge tostudents regarding the entrance process a  A detailed step by step explanation of the CUET process was taken up by the resource person
The workshop was described as very enlightening and  informative by the students  


Sat, 27th Jul 2019 – Workshop for Commerce Teachers Organised


A workshop on ‘Mastering the art of teaching Business Studies’ was organised by Commerce Teachers’ Association at Airforce Bal Bharti Public School , Lodhi Road on 27th July 2019. The workshop was attended by P.G.T.(Commerce), Ms.Rekha Kumar.

The Workshop was conducted by Mr. G.S.Alag, renowned author of Business Studies Books & in house Resource person Ms. Mamta Narula. The workshop equipped the teachers with how to frame objective type questions, latest question paper design, changes in the curriculum & methods of teaching Business Studies.

The most important feature of the workshop was the interactive session where everyone got the opportunity to express his/her views. The workshop was very informative and inspiring.

Sat, 25th May 2019 – TRAINING PROGRAMME ON GENDER SENSITIVITY


A training programme on Gender Sensitivity was organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education on 25th  May  2019 at  West Academy Senior Secondary School, Pataudi, Gurugram.The training programme was attended by Ms. Jaya George from Vishal Bharti  Public School. The aim of the programme was to acquaint the teachers with the importance of being Gender Sensitive .

The resource persons Ms. Aarti Chopra, Principal Amity School Gurugram and Ms Anita Makkar  emphasized the importance of Gender sensitivity in today’s scenario. The session was interactive and informative.

Mon, 20th May 2019 – CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME IN MATHEMATICS FOR CLASS X



To train teachers deal better with the challenges faced by students and to make the teaching- learning process more effective,“Capacity Building Programme On Mathematics-Class X” was conducted by C.B.S.E for Mathematics teachers of Secondary level on 20th and 21stMay 2019 at New Era Public School, Mayapuri. Ms.Shalu Jain attended this initiative of CBSE for teachers  empowerment  and it was quite informative and elaborate. The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Ishita Mukherjee ,teacher trainer C.B.S.E. and Ms. Rama Srinivasan, Vice Principal of Army Public School, Noida.

The soul  objective of the workshop was to equip the course participants with skills and competencies required to effectively transact challenging content areas in Mathematics . Ms. Ishita also familiarized the course participants with the concept of  multiple intelligence and facilitated them in effective planning of their lessons. Various inputs and techniques were explained to make classroom teaching learning process effective. The main focus was on the conceptual understanding through constructivism which means concepts should be invented rather than discovered. She emphasised that a teacher should facilitate learning by creating a lively, playful and experiential learning environment in the classroom. Latest pattern of Assessment of Mathematics for class X was also discussed in detail. It was indeed a fruitful and enriching session which uplifted the mind and soul of the participants.

Tue, 30th Apr 2019 – Workshop On Classroom Management

To make the classrooms more interactive CBSE organized a workshop on  Capacity Building Programme on Classroom Management at N K Bagrodia Public School on29 April and 30th April. It was an honour for the teachers Ms.Shalu Jain and  Ms. Chandni Lakhina to aattend this initiative of CBSE . The workshop was attended by  different teachers of renowned CBSE schools  of Delhi. The workshop focused on the key concern of classroom management with the rise of effective teaching strategies. The resource persons Mr.Dhirendra Singh(Principal of Sehwag International Public School , Jhajjar ) and Ms Abha Jha (motivational speaker)  discussed and shared the best methods adopted for classroom management and how the best potential of students could be extracted by giving them congenial and friendly environment.

The workshop addressed questions giving teachers various practical eye opening strategies they could use for managing student’s physical and behaviour patterns. They also explained the latest strategies to manage the  classroom environment effectively. Through discussion, it was established that with changing times, the challenges faced by teachers in the classroom have also changed and the need to develop and implement rules and procedure to tackle the same is of utmost important. The resource person emphasized that the quality of teacher student relationships is the keystone for all other aspects of classroom management. Various activity sessions were also discussed that can create a desire to learn  within the classroom.

The resource person also discussed the various components of classroom management, consequences and rewards. Overall, the workshop was quite advantageous for teachers and will surely act as a tool to manage our classrooms more effectively in a more disciplined way to provide enriching and better results.

Mon, 22nd Apr 2019 – Environment Awareness & Waste Management workshop

Fifteen students of our school became a part of the Environment awareness & Waste Management workshop held at theskytheaterof the Nehru Planetarium on 22.4.19. It was organized by“HaraJeevanOrganisation” ,working in the field of environmental awareness especially with the young children.

The students were first shown a power point presentation depicting the current status of waste management in India. The experts discussed simple ways of managing our own waste.  It sensitized the young generation about Adoption of ZERO Waste STRATEGY which is the need of the hour and ideally the best solution.

Thu, 20th Dec 2018 – Public Lecture On Life And Works Of S. Ramanujan



To commemorate National Mathematics Day and to celebrate the Legacy of  Srinivas Ramanujan, the Eminent Mathematician, a Public Lecture on “The Fascinating And Tragic Life Of the Mathematical Genius Ramanujan” was organised on Dec 20,2018 at S.D.Public School, Pitampura. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dinesh Singh, Former Vice-Chancellor of University of Delhi , President, Ramanujan Mathematical Society, Director, Mathematical Sciences Foundation and Chancellor of K.R. Mangalam University. Mr. R.P.Singh, CBSE Consultant was the Guest of Honour.

The main aim of the lecture was to inspire our young generation to follow the footsteps of the great Ramanujan who was born in a very poor family, was self taught and never had any formal training in mathematics, became worldwide renowned personality because of his devotion, passion and love for MATHEMATICS. It was attended by Ms. Shalu Jain along with students of class XI . Students were inspired to know about the journey of the life of a great mathematician.

Sat, 15th Dec 2018 – Workshop on Developing Mathematical Thinking


On 131st birth anniversary of great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, Spiritual Application and Research Centre of Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation conducted a workshop for teachers on December 15th, 2018 at Brahma Kumaris, Gyan-Vigyan Bhawan, Derawal Nagar, with the aim of ‘Developing Mathematical Thinking’. It was conducted by Dr. Aditi Singhal (Guinness World Record holder, an international memory trainer, author, motivational speaker, counsellor and Vedic Math expert ) and Dr. Sudhir Singhal (Guinness World Record).

It was attended by Ms. Shalu Jain, Ms.Shaily Sharma, Ms. Anita Sharma, Ms. Richa Bhasin, Ms. Jolly , Ms. Sheetal Trehan, Ms. Arurva, Ms. Anu Pushkar and Ms. Anju Sharma of Vishal Bharti Public School. The resource person Mr. Mukesh Kumar, Ms Gurpreet and Mr.Mohit introduced the new curriculum to all the teachers present there .Also brief introduction of few topics were covered.

Python, Python Panda SQL and Mongodb was the core of the entire workshop. The workshop proved to be an enriching and enlightening experience for the teachers. Topics were covered through presentation and demonstration of softwares.

Tue, 27th Nov 2018 – Capacity Building Program on Political Science, Class XII



Capacity Building Program on Political Science for Class XII was organized by CBSE on 27th and 28th of November, 2018 at Modern School, Vasant Vihar. The program started with a session on why Political Science as a subject is important and familiarization with the syllabus.

The methods and strategies of transacting the contents as well as interdisciplinary approaches in teaching Political Science were discussed

At the end of the first day a question bank was prepared keeping in mind the instructional objectives of Bloom's Taxonomy. On the second day of the program  group discussions happened and various test items were drafted .Brainstorming new ideas and challenges in contemporary politics and career prospects in Political Science was also carried out.

The program ended with presentations on group work and distribution of certificate for the same.

Tue, 06th Nov 2018 – LEADERSHIP SEMINAR


JGU Leadership Seminar for School Leaders was attended by Ms. Rekha Kumar, PGT(Commerce) from Vishal Bharti Public School on 2nd Nov.2018 at O.P. Jindal University, Sonipat.

The objective of the meet was to provide a platform for school leaders to interact with eminent personalities, exchange information and put forward their issues on the pressing concerns of students and create a positive impact on student’s life.

The session on ‘Leadership & Competency Mapping’ was conducted by Dr. Sanjeev P. Sahni, Principal Director & Dr. Manjushre, Deputy Director in Jindal Institute of Behavior Science. They discussed about Personality & behavior of the students and functional & behavioral competencies of the teachers.

The second session was conducted by Dr. Maushmi Mukherjee, Assistant Director IIHED at O.P. Jindal University, Dr. Deepak Maun, Assistant Professor of Practice at O.P.Jindal University, Ms.Neha Sharma , Deputy Secretary & Head, COE Delhi at CBSE & Principals of Jindal Public School & Bright Scholar School. The topic of the discussion was “Are your schools ready for digital world?

It was a great learning experience & was a good platform to interact people with diverse ideas & opinions.

Mon, 23rd Apr 2018 – CBSE-English Capacity Building Programme Class IX

CBSE conducted a two day English Building Workshop for the teachers on April23 and April24,2018 at Maharaja Agrasen School, Ashok Vihar. It was attended by MsVibha Sachdev of Vishal Bharti Public School. The resource person from CBSE, MsRuchiSengar enlightened the teachers about all the finer nuances of teaching English in the classrooms.

Pedagogies and skills for embedding realistic speaking and listening skills in the learners was the core of the entire workshop. The workshop proved to be an enriching and enlightening experience for the teachers. Through numerous activities done during the workshop, the teachers carriedhome innovative ideas and information about the new techniques of teaching English in the classrooms.

To make classroom more interacting CBSE organized a workshop on Capacity Building on Classroom Management at Mamta Modern School on 23rdApril and 24thApril. The workshop was attended by the different teachers of well renowned school hailing from various CBSE schools of Delhi. The workshop focused on the key concern of classroom management with the rise of effective teaching strategies. The resource persons Mr. Madan Sahani (from CBSE) and Dr.Indu khetrapal(Principal of Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar) discussed and shared the best methods adopted for classroom management and how the best potential of students could be extracted by giving them congenial and friendly environment.

The workshop addressed questions giving teachers various practical eye opening strategies they could use for managing student’s physical and behavior patterns. They also explained the latest strategies to manage the 21st century classroom environment effectively. Through discussion, it was established that with changing times, the challenges faced by teachers in the classroom have also changes and the need to develop and implement rules and procedure to tackle the same is of utmost importance. The teachers were shown some videos to help them ascertain their individual strengths and weakness and the areas that could be improved upon. Interesting real life scenarios in today’s classrooms such as handling special needs children, unruly behavior and abusive language were also discussed and solved by experts. Resource person emphasized that the quality of teacher student relationships is the keystone for all other aspects of classroom management. Various activities sessions were also discussed to create a desire to learn in students within the classroom.

Overall, the workshop was effective and beneficial for teachers and will surely help to manage our classrooms more effectively in a more disciplined way with better results.

Fri, 13th Apr 2018 – Jodo Gyan Workshop



A Jodo gyaan workshop was organized in VBPS premises on Friday, 13th April 2018. It emphasized workable solutions to problems in classroom practices related to mathematics. It was an informative and interesting workshop for the enrichment of Junior School teachers. Various activities were undertaken with the help of their tools like Ganit maala, Akaar Parivaar, Rangometry etc. Different concepts like shapes, colours, addition, subtraction were explained in a creative manner.

All the teachers participated enthusiastically. The workshop helped us learn innovative methods through which children understand and enjoy what they are being taught in Mathematics.
