Tue, 20th Nov 2018 - Sanskar Jha of class XI-A (VBPS) was selected
Sanskar Jha of class  XI-A  (VBPS) was selected for under-19 School Cricket National Championship 2018 after trials. Total eight teams participated in the championship. Teams were divided in two groups, Group-A and Group-B respectively.

Sanskar Jha was selected for team Bihar in Group-A. His team won its first two matches and lost the third one to Andhra Pradesh . From Group-A, Bihar and Andhra Pradesh qualified for the quarter finals and from Group-B, Maharastra and Telengana made their way to quarter’s. In the semi final Bihar defeated Maharastra and Sanskar Jha won the Man of the Match trophy. In the final championship , Bihar defeated Telengana by 18 runs.

Bharat ko Jano Quiz Competition 2018
VBPSites  brought laurels to the school by winning “Bharat Ko Jano” Quiz Competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad at State Level in Doon Public School, Paschim Vihar on Nov 18, 2018.

The students were required to don their thinking caps and utilise their knowledge about the ancient and modern glory of India, its glorious history and culture, literature, geography, natural resources etc to compete against the best.            

Durgeshwar  Mahto  of Class XII-B and Subhodeep Paul of  Class X-B bagged the second position and received a certificate and memento.  Principal, Dr. Amita Saxena, congratulated the winners and lauded the efforts of the students.

VBPS students wins again!
Students of Vishal Bharti Public School added another feather in their cap by winning inter school- “Maxploratorium”: Talking Puppets Competition.

It was organized by Maxfort School, Pitampura on 3rd November,2018.

Students- Naina Sharma, Arjun Mittal and Darsh of class II bagged Second Prize for their wonderful and enthusiastic performance. The audience swayed with delight and applauded them.

Principal, Ms. Amita Saxena congratulated the participants with her motivating words.

‘A goal is a dream with a plan and deadline’

It is that  time of the year when students start planning their higher course of studies in different colleges. With an objective to provide a direction and guidance to our students in this regard VBPS  organised a career fair,  in collaboration with the renowned career counsellor Mr Jitin Chawla.

The career fair was held on  Tuesday October 30 2018 from 9:30 am onwards in the  School lawn  and conference hall.

An interactive session for the parents with Mr Jitin Chawla and his team proceeded in the conference hall. Where Mr Chawla spoke  about a plethora of universities apart from DU and various carreer options available. Many Indian and foreign university representatives were  present in the school and  dissipated informationto  parents and students in the form of  brochures and informationpamphlets. So that students can make an informed choice of career and university .

The event was a great learning experience for all the students, staff and parents

On 3rd November 2018, Aarav Vashisht of Pre-Primary Class participated in "Contest Quest 2018-2019” which was organized by Ryan Shalom Montessori School. Topic of the Contest was “What I Want to Be? “.

He portrayed the character of Aladdin’s Genie and enthralled the audience with his mesmerizing performance.

He secured Second Position in the competition.

He was encouraged and congratulated by Principal, Dr Amita Saxena.

A rally was organized by VBPSites to stress on the need to celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly manner. The objective of the rally was to spread the message far and wide about the need, importance and different ways of celebrating diwali in an eco-friendly manner. Students participated enthusiastically and come up with creative slogans and thought provoking messages.

Paper lanterns and other eco-friendly decorative materials were also made by the students to spread awareness about how to celebrate cracker free diwali. Students learnt the value of minimizing the poisonous effects of crackers and maximizing happiness with earthen lamps.

The Eco -Club members of Vishal Bharti Public School organised an ‘b’ where-in the eco-club members took part. The  rally was led by their Eco-club Teachers. About 50 Eco warriors paraded through the streets of the neighbouring A-1 block Paschim Vihar and went up to Jawala Heri market displaying banners against the use of  crackers and for  reducing air and noise pollution. As the procession of VBPS students moved on the streets, there was an outcry of slogans appealing to the people to go cracker free this Diwali. The residents of the area were greatly appreciative of the efforts of the VBPS student community and  many of them promised not to burst crackers this Diwali.

Before embarking on this act of social cause , in  their interaction with the school Principal, the VBPians expressed their views and were determined to be role models themselves, so as to inspire others to  protect their environment from noise, dust, harmful gases and smoke caused due to excessive bursting of crackers.

Principal Dr Amita Saxena who is very enthusiastic about all activities related to environmental causes, flagged off the rally. She emphasised the need to minimise air pollution and was pleased to see the spirit and concern among the VBPS students and the staff.

It is seemingly impossible to amass India’s greatness and grandeur into words and its unity in diversity is the strength for all Indians. To celebrate the great traditions and diverse culture of our motherland classes III, IV and V diligently organized a vibrant, contagious and exuberant cultural fiesta ‘Sanskriti’ on 26 October, 2018.

All Students represented the diverse culture and distinct festivals of different states of India like Kashmir, West-Bengal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharastra and Uttar Pradesh through some mesmerizing musical and dance performances. The students also organized a Cultural Haat that exhibited not only the traditional clothes and famous things but also served some famous scrumptious food items from different parts of our colourful nation.

The fest ended with a lot of appreciation and motivating words from the principal, Dr. Amita Saxena.

Children of classes IX and X learnt about term Folk Art - which is a non professional art practiced in any community by ordinary men and women of various walks of life , who have undergone no regular training and practiced it just for decorating their houses .

One such Folk Art form is “Madhubani” which is a famous art form of Mithila region. Children learnt about some colourful motifs used in these paintings which describe a story and a ritual of their social life. They made some beautiful and colourful motifs from this art form by working in groups.

Vishal Bharti Public School has been enthusiastically participating in various Interschool  Competitions.

Students  from classes VI and VIII,  Kushagr ,Deepanand, Ali,  Jass Sood,  participated in Instrumental Fusion competition on 26th October 2018, organised by Shah International School. They got Consolation prize in the event.

Activity was conducted on 5th October for the students of classes III to V.

Students made beautiful Diwali lamps using coloured papers. They decorated the lamp with variety of decorative materials, golden papers etc. The students showcased their creativity and aesthetic sense.

 
Wed, 03rd Oct 2018 - Clean India Green India is our perfect dream
Vishal Bharti Public School organized  a Cleanliness Drive in DDA Park, Paschim Vihar on October 3,2018 as a part of V-Care Initiative and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with the vision of Clean India and Green India that was launched by our honourable Prime Minister on 2nd October 2014 .This is the fourth year in row that  Vishal Bharti  has  been actively promoting this campaign by encouraging youth and citizens  to adopt good habits of cleanliness .
The purposes of cleanliness is health, beauty, absence of offensive odour and to avoid the spreading of dirt and contaminants.
Keeping this in mind, students of Class XI went for cleaning campaign in the neighbouring  DDA Park.They picked up wrappers, bits of trash , empty bottles ,cans etc  that were lying scattered all over the park and put them into dustbins.Students were equipped with brooms, pick up tools, garbage bags.  These Eco-warriors also cleared heaps of garbage lying by the pavement, while a few engaged in awareness drive by interacting with the people in the park. The motto of the drive was-‘ Look around, walk around, breathe clean air and don’t litter the ground’.
Cleanliness is an emblem of purity of mind. Our students played the role of clean up ambassadors. They not only took initiative but encouraged the locals also to keep their surroundings clean.

It is a proud moment for us to announce that the students of VBPS  proved themselves as innovative science geniuses as they brought laurels to the school. Pearl Juneja and Gauri Uppal of class V C stood Second in Inter School Zonal Science Exhibition held at Sarvodaya Kanya , Vidhayala , Paschim Vihar on 11th September 2018.

VBPS science model was on the topic Waste  Management which focussed on keeping the  society clean, through various waste disposal techniques .The model was indeed a work piece of their creativity and excellent dedication towards their subject. This is a step towards achieving the epitome of success.VBPS strive hard under the able guidance of their efficient teacher , school and keep bringing laurels for the school.

Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, founders of loving legacy, greatest storytelles and the keepers of tradition. Our grandparents need nothing more than love, our time, joy of our achievements and in this tech – savy era it is also fun to train them in technological know – how. In honour of the grandparents Vishal Bharti Public School celebrated Grandparents Day on Saturday, 1st September 2018. The young VBPians from class preschool performed on this day with great enthusiasm and fervor.

The day witnessed 100% participation of the students of preschool who performed adorably on ‘Janmashtmi theme’. The enactment helped to inculcate the moral and ethical values amongst students. A group of primary class students sang a melodious song dedicated to Grandparents. Principal  Dr. Amita Saxena, spoke about the value and importance of grandparents in  a family. The day filled with fun and frolic was appreciated by all.

Those who were present, everyone enjoyed watching their little ones!

School days are undoubtedly the best days in a child's life. They not only provides knowledge but also teaches and inculcates qualities which help them shape their future. Keeping the same in view a fun workshop was conducted for Classes III to V in the school it was organized by Cartoon Network. As part of the fun, interactive and playful workshop "Masti ki Recess” students were involved in  team play activities, such as cook up a story, throw and catch the ball etc.

The winning teams were awarded with Cartoon Network Merchandise .A few students also got a chance to display their talent As they danced, sang and narrated jokes to the assembly amongst roars of laughter and clapping of tiny hands.

The workshop was conducted in 3 sessions for all sections of classes  III -V .Apart from playing fun games children also got small take away kits with goodies.
